Practical Tips for Reducing Plastic Use
To reduce plastic use, start by using reusable bags and containers instead of single-use plastic ones. Carry a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated without generating waste. Purchase items in bulk to minimise packaging waste, and ensure you’re recycling correctly to reduce plastic ending up in landfills and oceans. Say no to straws by choosing metal, glass, or bamboo alternatives, or simply go straw-free. Lastly, educate others to spread awareness and inspire change.
Our Commitment to a Plastic-Free Future
As part of our sustainability commitment, we have made significant strides in reducing plastic waste since May 2023. We are proud to announce that 14 of our industrial glove styles now come in completely plastic-free packaging, including popular models like the 370W, 241WP, and our entire sustainable range. Additionally, we've reduced plastic packaging on another 4 styles, such as the 360FC and 270NFG.
We are also proud to support Plastic Bank; in partnership with them, we have saved over 50,000 plastic bottles from entering the ocean. Their members receive a premium for the materials they collect, which helps them provide basic family necessities such as groceries, cooking fuel, school tuition, and health insurance.
Achieving all these milestones within just over a year is a fantastic step forward in our sustainability journey. However, we recognise that there is still work to be done, and we strive to improve every day.
